So we have been waiting 50 minutes for our food so far. Losing beautiful ski—sunlight. There are only 6 other people here. ...... ok the food came and it’s great. Edited review from one star to 4
MoreFoods good, but be prepared to wait for an hour at least. And don't ever work there unless you like working for free because Rachel, the owner, will take full advantage of you, leave for Puerto Rico and come back, acting like a crazy person and never pay you for the hours you worked
MoreWe stopped there today for breakfast. My boyfriend wanted some pie but they did not have any. The waitress helped get him something for his sweet tooth and the cook made him an amazing stack of french toast with syrup and fruit. It was amazingly good. I got an omelette that was absolutely amazing as well. The waitress and the cook are awesome!! Thank you so much!
MoreGreat food and even greater people running the show, this is the best greasy-spoon in Clear Creek County. You can order ahead and grab a breakfast burrito on your way up the hill or chill out on their patio and marvel at the beauty of the valley as you enjoy their fantastic homestyle cooking. A staple in Georgetown for years, this place is well worth a quick jaunt off I-70.
MoreBreakfast food is delicious! Friendly staff. Will definitely stop again!
Terrific breakfast and excellent service! I had the Huevos Rancheros and it was fantastic!
MoreI wish i could be leaving a great review of the tasty looking food coming out of the kitchen. But our waitress lost our orders ticket, and an hour later everyone in the restaurant was eating except us. The waitress did not attempt to figure something out after losing our order. And instead said "dont worry guys drinks are on me" .... Which read as "i lost your order. Good bye" By the way... Our "drinks" were two cups of water and a coffee We left SO upset. Terrible terrible service.
MoreThe food was really delicious! I had a cheddar cheeseburger burger with French fries. My wife had the omelette (w/ cheddar, spinach, tomatoes, and mushrooms) and French toast. I have not been to any place with better service! The waiter was so friendly. Was with the in-laws and he accommodated every request and was proactive. The cook also came out and asked how the food was. This type of food and service can only be possible if people genuinely like doing what they love. Without the Google Reviews you wouldn't necessarily know you're coming in for a great experience just from looking at the outside of the restaurant. The inside looks very homey and we all enjoyed the entire experience!
MoreThe food tasted great and homemade. The service was fast, and the staff friendly. We will definitely come back here on our way up the mountain!
MoreMy wife and I stopped at this place after a hike and it was AMAZING. Great people, AMAZING food, and a awesome environment. Highly recommend.
MoreFood was great, service was good. Food was cooked just like I wanted. Crispy bacon and crispy home fries.
MoreThe food was decent, the prices were a little high, and the service was less-than-optimal. But, I will give it another try.
MoreJust had a great breakfast! For everyone that walked in and walked right back out because they were busy.... You missed out on a great meal that was worth the wait!!!
MoreGood food, but very slow service. We waited over an hour for our breakfast.
This place is amazing, the staff there are very friendly and amazing to talk with and here there story of how they ended up in Georgie town. I highly recommend going here is was very good food some of the best I’ve had in awhile.
MoreFantastic service, our waitress was sweet as can be and fast too. My coffee never ran out and she even made sure to offer sirracha for my husband's burrito! The food was spectacular! The short stack was so big I could barely finish it and the breakfast burrito was HUGE! It's small but the charm is 100%!
MoreFood was great. Neat place to stop with a beautiful setting.
Great prices and great food. Owner was working all by herself on a busy morning and still turning out awesome food and keeping everyone topped up on coffee. Awesome, can't wait to visit again
MoreThe lady was super friendly! She also gave my wife and I a dessert for our anniversary. We'll be back!
MoreFantastic place to stop and grab a burrito on your way to the slopes. Very reasonable price for a breakfast burrito the size of a Chipotle burrito. I do wish their green chili was a bit hotter or they'd offer just straight chopped green chili but those are small complaints from a quiet, quaint, out of the way breakfast stop on your way to ride for the day.
MoreFriendly service and the food was good!
Whistle Stop Cafe is a perfect quaint blue building serving breakfast and lunch. It's hard to miss this blue building after exiting the first exit into Georgetown from I-70 and then heading west through town. Our group used this location as a meeting point for breakfast right before we went up for Argentine pass, which is right outside Georgetown. The breakfast menu offered quite a bit to choose from, most of it being the traditional southren breakfast with the option for a smothering in Colorado's green chili. The food was delicious and the portion size was definitely worth the price. It wasn't too expensive, but you do get some good quality food! The only reason I gave a four star rating was because the floor was pretty dirty, I typically don't mind those types of things, but this particular time I was in flip-flops and I could feel the grime get on my feet. Other than that, it's a fantastic place to make a quick stop for breakfast, brunch or lunch!
MoreGreat breakfast, reasonably priced, served by very friendly staff
Bit of a wait but well worth it. Good breakfast with friendly service. Small cozy spot, good escape from the Denver traffic
MoreKaren & Rachel welcomed us with smile and the best breakfast I've had in Colorado. Fresh, Local, Fast and Cheap. Come and try this place...its better than the Ritz Carlton at Beaver Creek and the Grand Hyatt in Vail. Eat here and save $100.00
MoreGeorgetown omelet smothered in green chili. Fantastic. Thick pieces of meat, nice people.
MoreOur waitress was super sweet and attentive, and she was the only waitress there! The food was amazing and so was the coffee. Can't wait to go back!
MoreGreat place for a home style breakfast. Cozy little place. Friendly with great food.
MoreGreat breakfast place! We stop by every time we drive though on 70
We stopped here on our ride up to Guanella Pass. Great little cafe with friendly staff and a cozy atmosphere. Had the classic breakfast - yum!! The place is small and with our party of six we did have to wait for seats to open up. Just give yourself a little time. It'll be worth the wait.
MoreOld little hole in the wall place with great food & friendly service.Best burger in the area!
MoreGood food. Sweet owner
It was so good, I can't wait to go back! Nothing fancy, well priced and soooo yummy!
MoreDelicious Ghost Cheeseburger Cooked to Order
Great place to grab a bite to eat. The Georgetown Omlet is hands-down one of the best omlets I've ever had. The Chicken Fried Steak breakfast is also delicious and enough for the hungriest person!
MoreMy husband has stopped here whenever he is passing through. When we took our family to the Georgetown trail, we we're hoping to score a seat on 4th of July. We squeezed in before they closed and enjoyed a yummy lunch. Very small space but beautiful mountain views. I had the Reuben and he had a chicken fried steak, the Reuben was out of this world yummy. They halved a cheeseburger for our kids.
MoreI’m definitely going to give this family cafe 5 stars. Hard working folks with great food. Good portions. I’m all about the veggie breakfast omelets, and my friends always get the chicken fried steak! Was my go to when I lived close by.
MoreAlways good food and friendly service! We will be back again :)
Flies and slow service reign supreme here. There are flies everywhere, and given the size of this place, it's crazy. This place is tiny, only 5 tables, plus a few chairs at the bar area and the waitress kept complaining about how busy it was and was behind on everything, yet there are ONLY 5 TABLES. It's a Saturday, get your s#!t together. The food wasn't bad, but the smell of grease coming from the kitchen was nauseating. I will never come back to this sorry, overpriced cafe ever again. I urge you to avoid this place too.
MoreJust like Grandmas home cooking!! This place is so cute, small and has that hometown feeling! The food portions are huge, and service was friendly. Prices are right. For being a small mom n pop cafe, she did amazing serving, taking orders and pretty sure helping cook the orders too.Would recommend to others who want a sit down, relaxing break from interstate driving.
MoreGreat breakfast and lunch foods served.Great service and great waitresses that are very friendly
MoreSmall town charm , amazing food , wonderful service , portions are huge, Everything is made with tlc. The Bread Pudding is crazy delicious.
MoreBEST breakfast burrito. So good, small local joint! Staff was quick and courteous!
MoreThis place is very small, so get there early to avoid long waits.service is slow. The food is decent but overpriced
MoreJust had an unbelievably bad experience here. We arrived and sat at a 4 top with our 2.5 and 1 year old. We should have sensed something was up when it took 15 min just to take our order. After approximately 45 minutes not a single plate of food had emerged from the kitchen. After an hour, 2 sandwiches and a to go order came out. Then we took stock of the fact that 3 tables had ordered ahead of us and had not received a bite of food! Of course by this time the kids were getting anxious. I asked an eta on our food: “at least 15 more minutes”! That was probably more like an hour of I extrapolate past performance. Of course we cut our losses and left hungry and without apology. Two questions for the priprietor:1) how can you see a family arrive and not provide some warning that the wait will be over an hour?2) what are your two cooks doing that they are only able to produce 5 entrees in 1 hour? This doesn’t seem to be a viable business at all.
MoreExcellent service, friendly and inviting, clearly knows people of the town well yet made us out-of-towners feel welcomed. Omelets were outstanding and potatoes perfectly cooked. Sourdough bread was great! 10/10 recommend
MoreExcellent service and great food. Not a place to go if you're in a hurry, but worth the wait!!!
MoreHorrible service. The server is definitely on some sort of drugs. Asked for waters and never received them. Never received refills on coffee. Used to be a good breakfast spot but this place has gone downhill.
Moreexcellent food, the place is tiny and cozy, pretty good mountain town vibe! i will def stop here next time im driving through georgetown, yum.
MoreGreat flavorful filling breakfast. We tried “the usual” the “Georgetown Omelette” and one of the burritos. Most of us didn’t finish our plates. Super small place, but well worth it. PSA wifey said must add that the coffee is great.
